Drew McIntyre, a professional wrestler, has expressed his belief and support for fellow athlete, Joe Hendry. In a recent conversation with the publication Cultaholic, McIntyre lauded the former TNA Digital Media Champion for his accomplishments.
In McIntyre’s words, “I have faith in Joe Hendry. He’s been putting on a fantastic show and I am immensely proud of him, particularly his success in getting a song to top the charts which generated a lot of buzz. He has earned a big opportunity for a long time, and I am glad he’s finally able to showcase himself on IMPACT. I have no doubt the momentum will just keep on growing. His potential is limitless. He is capable of everything.”
McIntyre continued to praise Hendry’s talent saying, “He’s extremely skilled in the ring and obviously on the microphone. His videos are on a whole new level, and I’m sure fans have watched ‘I’m Drew’ video to Eiffel 65’s ’I’m Blue’. If they haven’t, they should. I stayed away from seeing it earlier as I wanted a genuine reaction, and I was amused all through when I was meant to be angry.”
Hendry acknowledged McIntyre’s support on Twitter, stating “You do not know how much this holds meaning for me. @DMcIntyreWWE is the best.”
In other wrestling news, wrestler Chris Bey seems determined to challenge Trick Williams for the WWE NXT World Championship. Via a tweet on Friday, Bey hinted at issuing a challenge to Williams, saying “Trick Williams vs Chris Bey for the NXT Championship? I think the fans would love that.”
Je’Von Evans, a WWE NXT Superstar, responded to Bey’s message, cautioning Bey to be patient before going for the title.
