In a recent episode of the renowned “Busted Open Radio” podcast, TNA wrestling’s own Joe Hendry shared insights into his debut on WWE NXT, which took place on the 18th of June. Hendry detailed his hectic schedule which included multiple travel arrangements in anticipation of his guest appearance.
During the discussion, Hendry revealed, “I departed on Sunday for LA to appear on the Chris Van Vliet show. We had two flights arranged, one slated for departure whether the interview took place or not. Chris was the one to drop me at the airport and he asked, out of curiosity, ‘Where are you headed?’ and I replied vaguely with, ‘Just traveling, just traveling.’ Chris was gracious enough to agree to an earlier interview. I don’t believe he fully accepted my reasons for rescheduling it to an earlier slot. Yes, my stay in LA was short-lived. From there, I flew to Orlando, catching the last flight that could get me there. Arriving in Atlanta around midnight, I reached Orlando at 2 a.m. That’s when I met Tommy, and you would assume that one might feel nervous entering such an environment. But I couldn’t have wished for anyone better than Tommy to be there. And you’d think I’d have nothing but praise for Tommy, which I do, but after sharing a few of Tommy Dreamer’s road tales, one becomes prepared for just about anything.”
In other TNA wrestling news, upcoming match recordings are scheduled for Friday, June 28, and Saturday, June 29, taking place at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia. These recordings will be the last ones before the much-anticipated Slammiversary 2024 pay-per-view event slated for July 20 in Montreal.
