TNA Wrestling’s star, Joe Hendry, received encouraging feedback from well-known UK wrestler, Drew McIntyre. McIntyre, who is seen as having the same significance as Undertaker in the UK, expressed his belief in Hendry’s potential.
In a recent discussion, McIntyre not only acknowledged Hendry’s wrestling skills, but also his musical talent, winning over audience’s hearts. This Scotsman’s dual talents have made him a crowd favorite.
Hendry was guest-star on a recent episode of the “Insight” podcast and shared his sentiments about McIntyre’s positive comments. He quoted,
“I appreciated that. I really did. That means a lot because, again, I’ve said this as well. I’m gonna compare him to someone you met recently, which is, to me, on the UK Indies, Drew was our Undertaker. He was the individual one sought after. He was the force that energized the shows, setting an example. In my mind, he is the same as Jordynne [Grace], like Drew is a role model both inside and outside of the ring.
“I was truly honored for him to praise me, particularly during his peak time and even sparing a moment to express his awareness of how this endorsement would boost my career. I am ever grateful for the chance of working with Drew, an extraordinary wrestler and an equally phenomenal human being. Both he and Jordynne are the pillars of this industry.”
Recently, Hendry graced WWE NXT in a battle royal event. His performance left both NXT and TNA impressed, which indicates that this might not be his swansong performance.
