Jinder Mahal isn’t opposed to facing John Cena as part of the 16-time World Champion’s impending comeback, but it isn’t Mahal’s priority.
Cena will return to WWE programming this Friday on SmackDown and will be a regular on the blue brand through October 27.
When asked about the possibility of facing Cena, Mahal told News18 that his focus right now is on Indus Sher. He said,
“I need to be focused with Indus Sher to become tag team champions. That’s my number one goal. If John Cena, if he wants to make the challenge, whatever, we’ll see. But my main focus is to get Indus Sher be the tag team champions.”
Cena will team with World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins to face Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci at WWE Superstar Spectacle in India next month.
Indus Sher will challenge Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships at the event.
