On a recent edition of the “WrestleBinge” podcast, Jinder Mahal claimed that no one will be able to dethrone Roman Reigns, except for The Tribal Chief himself.

According to Mahal, Reigns will not be dethroned until he chooses to retire. He said,

“I think the only one that can dethrone Roman Reigns is himself when he retires. That’s my answer. Right now, just so much momentum. He has Paul Heyman in his ear, guiding him. Of course, his schedule, he only comes around once in a while. He picks his shots, so he has every advantage.”

In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Hulk Hogan reflected on his relationship with Rocky Johnson early in his WWE run, being mentored by Johnson, and more.

You can check out some highlights from the interview below:

On Rocky Johnson watching his rehearsal with Rock for WrestleMania 18: “I’d known Rocky Johnson for a long time, even before I started to wrestle. He was someone I looked up to. And that day, I can still remember standing in the ring talking with Dwayne, and all we could hear was Rocky Johnson yelling, ‘Dwayne, listen to Hogan!’”

On Johnson taking him under his wing: “Rocky Johnson was wrestling in Florida, and after the matches in Tampa, they’d all go to the Imperial Room. I bet Rock remembers the place because they lived right near it. I’d go just to mark out and see Harley Race and ‘Superstar’ Billy Graham on one side of the room, then Rocky Johnson on the other. This was back when I was in a rock and roll band. I finally got the nerve to speak to the guys, and there was one time where I offered to drive Rocky Johnson to Tallahassee for his match. That was a five-hour drive, but I didn’t care, I was just so excited. I drove him in my girlfriend’s brand-new Ford Torino, and I was so proud to drive him. I ended up driving him a few times, and I’d be gone until the sun came up. Or, if he was on earlier, I’d break every speeding limit to get him back to the Imperial Room before last call. When I went to New York in ‘79 [to work for the World Wrestling Federation], he took me under his wing when he wrestled there. I never forgot that.”

Jinder Mahal Claims No One Can Dethrone Roman Reigns Except Himself

In the world of professional wrestling, Roman Reigns has established himself as a dominant force. Holding the WWE Championship for an impressive 541 days and the Universal Championship for over 1,185 days, Reigns has proven to be a formidable champion. However, according to fellow wrestler Jinder Mahal, no one will be able to dethrone Reigns except for the Tribal Chief himself.

During a recent episode of the “WrestleBinge” podcast, Mahal expressed his belief that Reigns will only be dethroned when he chooses to retire. Mahal stated, “I think the only one that can dethrone Roman Reigns is himself when he retires. That’s my answer. Right now, just so much momentum. He has Paul Heyman in his ear, guiding him. Of course, his schedule, he only comes around once in a while. He picks his shots, so he has every advantage.”

Mahal’s statement highlights the immense respect and admiration he has for Reigns’ abilities as a wrestler. He acknowledges the influence of Paul Heyman, a legendary wrestling manager known for his strategic guidance, and recognizes that Reigns’ selective schedule allows him to carefully choose his battles.

Reigns’ dominance in the wrestling world has been widely recognized and praised. His character, The Tribal Chief, has captivated audiences with his commanding presence and formidable in-ring skills. Fans have embraced Reigns’ new persona, which showcases his natural charisma and intensity.

While Mahal’s claim may seem bold, it reflects the widespread belief that Reigns is currently at the peak of his career. His reign as champion has been marked by compelling storylines, memorable matches, and a level of dominance rarely seen in professional wrestling.

In addition to Mahal’s comments, wrestling legend Hulk Hogan recently reflected on his relationship with Rocky Johnson, the father of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Hogan discussed how Johnson mentored him during his early days in WWE and the impact he had on his career.

Hogan recalled a memorable moment during the rehearsal for WrestleMania 18, where he and The Rock were preparing for their highly anticipated match. He vividly remembers Rocky Johnson yelling, “Dwayne, listen to Hogan!” This anecdote showcases the respect and influence Johnson had on both Hogan and The Rock, two of the biggest names in wrestling history.

Hogan also shared stories of how Johnson took him under his wing during their time in Florida, driving him to matches and providing guidance. This mentorship left a lasting impression on Hogan, who never forgot the support and guidance he received from Johnson.

The wrestling world is filled with stories of mentorship and respect, and the relationship between Hogan and Johnson is a testament to the bonds formed within the industry. These stories serve as a reminder of the impact that experienced wrestlers can have on the careers of younger talents.

As Roman Reigns continues his reign as champion, it is clear that his dominance is unmatched. Whether it is Jinder Mahal’s belief that Reigns can only be dethroned by himself or Hulk Hogan’s reflection on the mentorship he received from Rocky Johnson, these stories highlight the profound influence and legacy of wrestlers in the industry.

Reigns’ ability to captivate audiences and maintain his position at the top of the wrestling world is a testament to his talent and dedication. As fans eagerly await his next move, one thing is certain: Roman Reigns will continue to be a force to be reckoned with in the world of professional wrestling.
