Jim Ross sees very big things in the future of two young wrestlers and believes they could be the next faces of All Elite Wrestling.
Ross joined AEW in 2019 when the promotion launched and has called the action on Dynamite, Rampage, and Pay-Per-Views.
During the latest episode of “Grilling JR,” Ross was asked who he considers the next faces of AEW and predicted big things for Wardlow and Powerhouse Hobbs. He said,
“Wardlow would come to my mind quite frankly, and quickly, I think Wardlow is good. I think that Willy Hobbs has got a great upside and future; he’s got a great look, a wonderful attitude.
“I think both those guys have the chance to be the big foundation pieces. They’re both very good; they’re both young, big, strong, athletic, and I really enjoy working with both those guys.”
Ross added that there is rarely an AEW taping where he doesn’t speak to either man. He said,
“They’ll ask me questions about the last match they had that they thought I might have seen, and I’ve pretty much seen them all. I think those two guys are the likely candidates — are they the only candidates I’m thinking of? Probably not, but they’re the top of the list.”
