Rob Van Dam’s legacy is not just as “the 420 guy,” but as one of the most underrated wrestlers to step in the ring according to Jim Ross.

After a successful run in ECW, Van Dam signed with the WWF in 2001 as part of the WCW/ECW alliance.

Speaking on the “Grilling JR” podcast, Ross said RVD’s legacy is as “one of the most underrated superstars of all time.” He added,

“He can’t just be known like today as the 420 guy, he’s got to be known for his skills and his ability to have great main event level matches.

“Look what all he overcame, the perception that he was unreliable, that he couldn’t get the job done, he proved all those naysayers wrong in a major way, so he had a hell of a run and I enjoy talking to him.”
