On a recent episode of his podcast, “Grilling JR,” WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross talked about why he still hasn’t seen the full episode of the “Mr. McMahon” documentary on Netflix. The said documentary, which consists of six one-hour long episodes, investigates several sexual misconduct claims levied against Vince McMahon by various women.
Here are some key points from the podcast:
Jim Ross shared his thoughts about the Mr. McMahon documentary: “I haven’t fully committed. I’ve seen some reviews and seen a few snippets. However, I can’t say I’ve watched a complete episode, simply because I haven’t. I’m not upset, and I’m not avoiding it either. It’s just that I may not even have Netflix. If I end up watching this show on Netflix, it would be my first time using the platform. From what I’ve heard, it’s a commendable production, and I don’t harbor ill feeliings towards it. It’s just that I’m not particularly tech-savvy. Nevertheless, there’s a myriad of other shows I could opt to watch. But will I give in and watch it someday? Absolutely.”
Regarding his absence from the documentary, he said: “When I came to know about it being produced, I assumed my agent Barry Bloom would be involved somehow. But we were never approached. Bill Simmons’ team never reached out. This might sound absurd, but I’m uncertain if I would have participated anyway. My decision would have depended on what they were trying to attain and I know I have all of what they might be seeking. Working for Vince was always an exhilarating escapade. But as of now, I didn’t receive a call inquiring if I would be interested or not.”
