At WWE NXT: Heatwave 2024, Je’Von Evans showcased his ability to hold his own in the ring, despite losing in the Fatal Four-Way match against Ethan Page, Trick Williams, and Shawn Spears. He reflected proudly on his experience, noting that it taught him that he was up to par with the top contenders.
His words were: “Obviously, I’m disappointed I wasn’t able to get the W and become the youngest champ. But the main thing I learned from the match is that I can hang with the big dogs.” He added, “I’m able to compete with the top people here, and I’m capable of defeating them. Promise you, soon, you’re gonna’ see The Young O.G., the NXT Youngblood as NXT Champion.”
Meanwhile, many dread the WWE NXT parking lot, but Oba Femi isn’t one of them. On RNC Radio’s “The A Show” podcast, Femi shared his thoughts about incidences that often occur in the NXT parking lot, stating, “No. You can try. If for any reason I get taken out, it’s not in the stupid parking lot, I promise you, it’s not.” Femi defended and retained his WWE NXT North American Championship title against Wes Lee at WWE NXT: Heatwave 2024.
