On a recent episode of “The Bill Simmons Podcast,” Jesse Ventura shed light on his exits from WWE (formerly known as WWF) in 1990 and his departure from WCW in 1994.
The following are the key points from the podcast:
Regarding the reasons behind his departure from WWE, Ventura said, “I was a free spirit. First off, I tried to form a union. Secondly, I refused to let them exploit my likeness without a proper negotiation. That’s essentially why I was shown the door at WWF/WWE.”
Disclosing the reasons for his exit from WCW, Ventura stated, “Once Eric Bischoff assumed the leadership role in WCW, he acquired Hulk Hogan behind my back…they gave Hogan complete creative control. Upon joining, he ensured I was promptly sacked.”
