Former Governor of Minnesota and Independent voter, Jesse Ventura, has publically expressed his support for Kamala Harris as the President of the United States.
Previously, Ventura was present backstage at the WWE RAW event in Minneapolis, MN, and had a meet and greet with CM Punk. Following this event, he made an appearance on CNN on a Friday evening and declared his endorsement for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. Additionally, Ventura took the opportunity to sharply criticise the Republican candidate for Vice President, JD Vance, targeting his recent criticism of Walz’s military history.
Ventura announced his endorsement, stating, “I’ve only got a few elections to go, I’m 73 years old now … so the window’s closing. I want to be alive to see the first woman President of the United States of America, and the first woman Commander in Chief, and we’ve got her right now! Yes, I want to see a woman President. It’s time for a woman President. We men have screwed it up enough!”
Recent analysis has shown that Kamala Harris has surpassed Donald Trump in many mainstream media polls. However, there are still approximately three months to go before the official date of the general election.
In response to Ventura’s endorsement, a tweet from ‘Madam Auntie VP Kamala Harris for PRESIDENT!’ read, “Former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura, an Independent, endorses Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. Says at 73 he doesn’t have many elections left and wants to see a woman Commander-in-Chief.”
Another tweet from ‘Secular Talk’ shows Ventura in a strong rebuttal to JD Vance’s attack on Tim Walz.
