This year, in April, it was disclosed that Jesse Ventura was engaged in negotiations with WWE. The former wrestler and politician conveyed this during his appearance on the podcast “The Vanguard”.
Ventura suggested that the discussions with WWE kicked off following the exit of Vince McMahon. McMahon left the company in light of allegations pertaining to his sexual misconduct, which is currently the subject of an investigation.
Ventura commented, “I will tell you this, now that wrestling has chosen this new direction, shall we call it. Jesse Ventura is in talks with them. It needed them to adopt this new path. I hope you understand what I mean about this new direction. The road that the company is following currently opened up discussions between Jesse Ventura and the WWE.”
Ventura had last collaborated with the WWE back in 2009 where he took up the role of a guest host for RAW.
Fast track to the present – Triple H recently posted a video on Twitter, showing himself together with Ventura in the backstage of the recent WWE RAW TV tapings in St. Paul, MN.
