Wrestling icon Jeff Jarrett has been vocal about his admiration for Shelton Benjamin.
Having entered AEW (All Elite Wrestling) earlier this year, Benjamin has quickly become a crowd favorite due to his impressive matches, earning him the title of one of AEW’s elite performers from many fans.
Despite a lackluster performance in the Continental Classic, Benjamin has his sights set on 2025 being his comeback year, as he strives to achieve significant feats with The Hurt Syndicate.
In a recent episode of his podcast, “My World,” Jeff Jarrett gave a glowing review of Benjamin, commenting on his standout contributions to AEW since his arrival.
In his words, Jarrett said, “I just gotta give somebody their flowers. Shelton Benjamin — You know, Shelton is no spring chicken, but I’m telling you, the Okada match, he has had a run of incredible matches to my mind. I mentioned this to him yesterday while we were at catering, he replied, ‘I can’t overeat, I need to work out.’ I responded, ‘I understand, the digestive system isn’t as efficient as it once was.’ However, I assure him, you’ve not just stepped up your game, you’ve done some genuinely extraordinary things since your arrival. So, I’m really thrilled for Shelton big time.”
