In a recent episode of his podcast “My World,” WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett discussed the prospect of AEW turning the Owen Hart Cup into a pay-per-view event.

Jarrett in his podcast discussed his views on turning the Owen Hart Cup into a pay-per-view occasion: “You broadened it out, Conrad. With tournaments, the difficulty lies in creative perspective, owing to the era of instant gratification where everyone wants to see who’s winning immediately. You might have to do various things to make it successful. A solitary event might be a problem… It could be a challenge to plot a standalone event, as episodically might be a better approach as per the present layout of the storyline.”

In the same podcast, Jarrett also shared sentimental reminiscences of Owen Hart playing practical jokes on him: “In each match I had with Owen, there was a small or big prank. Last time we were in the ring, Owen made a classic joke. On Saturday, May 22, 1999, at the Allstate Arena, during a house show, we were on a tag run with Edge and Christian. Owen arrived late at the building. He pulled me into the bathroom, showing me two red noses, and told me to wear it on the 10th count of throwing punches at us. Pranks were his specialty, he has fooled Undertaker with his unpredictable callouts and there’s no one he hasn’t pranked if you stepped in the ring with him.”

The podcast also includes a video titled “My World: The Owen Hart Tournament”.
