During a recent installment of his podcast, “My World”, WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett offered his insights on what differentiates Gail Kim from her fellow competitors in the TNA Knockouts division.
Here are some key points from Jarrett’s podcast:
Jarrett opined that Gail Kim’s standout quality among the women in TNA was essentially her initial recognition. Despite other talents on board, it was Kim who strongly advocated for a women’s division at that time. Moreover, he highlighted the need for a larger roster for a women’s division to succeed.
Kim stood apart, according to Jarrett, because of her innate athleticism. From her top rope hurricanrana to her representation of a fighting, athletic babyface, Kim’s skills and performance in the ring were, as per Jarrett, outstanding. She knew how to sell her character, a trait he believes requires experience and a solid grasp of your craft. Her ability to strike the right balance, maintaining an edge without crossing lines, left an impression on Jarrett, who lauded her professional wrestling skills.
Another topic covered in Jarrett’s podcast was pro wrestler Kevin Owens’ neck injury. Reportedly, Owens suffered a neck injury due to certain in-ring mishaps. Jarrett expressed his sympathy for Owens while acknowledging the risk Owens had taken with many dangerous bumps over the years. Unfortunately, this incident may force Owens to miss the WrestleMania event, a significant blow for a prominent performer like him.
However, Jarrett also noted that neck surgeries now come with improved procedures that have eased the recovery process. He emphasized the importance of understanding the severity of the neck injury and the related surgical procedures in measuring its impact on Owens’ career.
