In the latest episode of “My World” podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett opened up on varying subjects including Mick Foley’s apprehensions about wrestling with Kurt Angle and the notorious match featuring Jenna from Survivor and Sharmell among other subjects.

Here are some key moments that he spoke about in the podcast:

On Mick Foley’s hesitations about going head-to-head with Kurt Angle in 2009: Jarrett remarked that there seemed to be a line blurring reality with fiction. Foley felt an uncertain fear—perhaps not doubt, but certainly plenty of contemplation. Considering the toll taken on his body—ten years since the Hell in the Cell, numerous matches—it was a significant concern. Yet he was emotionally tied to TNA, hoping fervently for its success. Even with the daunting question of ‘How am I going to keep pace with Kurt Angle?’ Foley was welcoming the challenge and ready to strategize with Angle. Jarrett’s appreciation for Foley is palpable as he hails him for this blending of realities.

Talking about the ill-famed match between Jenna Morasca & Sharmell at Victory Road 2009: Jarrett expressed that the women were set up to fail—even if he wasn’t there, it seemed apparent. He pointed out how greatly Dixie Carter adored the show, Survivor. Her leaning into this fondness, along with Vince Russo’s overconfidence in creating a story for a quick match, was a major miscalculation. He commends Sharmell’s handling of being put in an unfortunate situation. Jenna, also thrown into a position she was ill-equipped for, he feels had no business being in such a situation.
