Former WWE star JBL recently lauded Chris Jericho of AEW on the “Something To Wrestle With” podcast. He spoke highly of Jericho, who has impressively managed to continually evolve his character over his three-decade-long career.
During the podcast, JBL extended his compliments to the current ROH World Champion, saying,
“He’s doing a great job, by the way. I love the way he reinvents himself every couple of months, six months. It’s just fantastic.”
In 2024, Jericho has assumed multiple personas, two of which interestingly included the Moniker of the Learning Tree and the King of New York.
Despite his ongoing efforts in character evolution, Jericho has faced criticism. Detractors argue that his feuds appear to only serve his interests and that his character transformations are superficial.
Presently, Jericho is relishing his second term as the ROH World Champion, a title he seized from Mark Briscoe during a Dynamite episode in October.
Speculations suggest that Jericho’s tenure as champion is a strategy to garner the attention of television broadcasters and secure a broadcast agreement for ROH.
