John Layfield, popularly known as JBL, broadcasted his objectives for Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide through a Twitter post. His goals include, but not limited to, a globalization endeavor, as he is now part of the new management of the renowned Mexican wrestling organization.
In his tweet, JBL stated, “Being part of the team that now manages the most revered wrestling organization in Mexican’s history, Triple AAA @luchalibreaaa, we aim for a global hold. Our objective is to highlight Mexico’s prowess. I may not be worldwide yet, but I will be soon.“
Elsewhere in the wrestling world, El Hijo del Vikingo endured a leg injury during the TNA Impact TV tapings yesterday. The injury resulted from a high-risk diving move.
Through his Instagram Stories, Vikingo expressed his feelings about the mishap and showed gratitude towards Laredo Kid for his support. Vikingo stated, “My sincerest gratitude goes to my brother, Laredo Kid, for his company and surveillance! Engaging in wrestling was my choice. I appreciate both the smiles and tears it brings. Recovery is certain for me, and I will return stronger than ever. A million thanks to everyone who reached out to me!“
Pro Wrestling NOAH has introduced a new title, the GHC Women’s Championship. The inaugural champion will be determined on November 11.
A 10-woman rumble will be held to crown the first champion, although the contenders are yet to be announced.
And last but not least, the recently-declared TNA Wrestling Knockouts’ Champion, Masha Slamovich, featured in the latest episode of Last Week Tonight broadcasted on HBO.
