In a recent conversation with Gabby AF, wrestling personality QT Marshall opened up about rumors of a disagreement with CM Punk, firmly dismissing any difficulties between them. He clarified that any potential issues had been dealt with in private.

Marshall stated, “One, there was a big misunderstanding that we weren’t on good terms, that he was causing a rift between Tony Khan and me. I honestly don’t believe that’s true because we had a candid discussion in Newark at the Prudential Center as soon as I learned about the supposed problem. I confronted him directly, and we had another individual present, just to keep things neutral. I always believe it’s better to clear the air in person. We both understood the situation – he didn’t want me managing Will Hobbs because he saw a bigger potential for Will. And I didn’t want to take up the managerial role for Will either. So that was it. Then, interestingly enough, a month later, he left, thus resolving the issue. Fast forward to his WWE return, and I received a message from Cody after I had exited AEW, dismissing rumors that my departure was because I wanted to be a leading star and CM Punk ruined my rapport with Tony Khan. Nothing could be more inaccurate, from every angle. Yes, I would love to be at the top, but that wasn’t my motivation. As for the rumors about Punk, I wasn’t even there to know about it because I was in Mexico facing Penta in hardcore matches, all to show my boss that I can be a crowd-puller. It was a crazy time.”

In an interview with ‘Sportskeeda Wrestling’, former WWE superstar and Hall of Famer JBL was queried on a potential appearance on AEW and his future WWE status.

JBL responded, “I didn’t tell anyone I was going to the other promotions, I won’t tell anyone if I’m going [to AEW] either. I have no idea. I’ve always been a lifelong WWE guy. I’ve always been loyal to the WWE, so probably not.”

He also made a point to note that any online “speculation” about his link with WWE was “100% wrong”. JBL has been seen in GCW and MLW rings recently, all while having a WWE Legends contract.
