Jazz Says Her Release Was Like If WWE Fired Roman Reigns Today

Former WWE Superstar Jazz has said her release from the promotion is akin to WWE cutting ties with Roman Reigns today.

The former ECW star joined WWE in 2001 and would become a two-time Women’s Champion before her exit in November 2004.

Speaking to “Wrestling News,” Jazz spoke highly of her tenure with WWE, and compared herself to the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. She said,

“I just pretty much carried the women’s division for two years. It’s just like writing Roman Reigns off right now and saying, ‘Hey brother, we ain’t got nothing for you. That’s a question that’s been sitting behind you know, just for making me wonder for the last 15 or 20 years like, what and how and why.

“I don’t believe they can come up with a reason. That’s what they tell people, you know, ‘Creative don’t have anything for you.’ I even told them, ‘Hey, I don’t need creative to tell a story for me. I can get out in the ring and create my own story.’”

After WWE, Jazz would compete for Shine, Chikara, Impact, and the NWA, and held the NWA Women’s World Championship for over 900 days.
