New developments have emerged in the legal battle between ex-WWE Chairman, Vince McMahon, and former WWE staff member, Janel Grant.
According to reports from Pwinsider, the previously granted intermission in the lawsuit of Janel Grant against WWE, Vince McMahon, and John Laurinaitis, is now officially over. Consequently, the lawsuit is reactivated and ready to proceed.
So far there has been no attempt by the US Attorney for the Southern District of New York to extend the stay through any filing or ruling in the Connecticut District Court, even though the attorney continues his investigation into McMahon.
Back in June, Grant had agreed to a standstill in her lawsuit, alleging that McMahon was involved in sex trafficking, sexual assault, among other accusations. This was done following the request of the Department of Justice.
It’s worth noting that the lawsuit was initially filed in January, leading to McMahon making his exit from both WWE and TKO.
