Despite not being active in the wrestling ring, Ronda Rousey has still been training relentlessly. Speaking on the latest episode of SiriusXM’s Busted Open Radio, James Storm spoke about his recent time training with Rousey, and how impressed he was coming out of the sessions.
“So I went to this undisclosed location or whatever, and just got in the ring and worked out with [Ronda Rousey], and man, I’ve always been kind of the guy – I mean, I guess cause I’m kind of old school. I guess, the inter-gender wrestling and stuff, cause I’m always like ‘Really? Can a woman really work with a man,” he said. “But I’ll tell you what, when she was standing across the corner from me, I was like, ‘Yeah, I don’t really think I’d want to be in the cage with her.’ Like, I mean, she was showing me some of her judo throws and I was just like ‘Jesus.’”
Storm went on to talk about how seriously Rousey takes training for professional wrestling, comparing that to other celebrities or athletes who come in with a more lackadaisical approach. It’s unknown exactly if or when Rousey will return to the wrestling ring, but it seems as if she’s keeping ready for whenever WWE may come calling.
