Jake Roberts Thinks Ricky Steamboat Would’ve Made A Great Heel

Ricky ‘The Dragon’ Steamboat spent his entire wrestling career as a babyface, but Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts is confident that he would have been a great heel.

Steamboat was a babyface in the NWA, WCW, WWE, and other promotions, and made a one-off return to the ring last year.

Speaking on the latest edition of his “The Snake Pit” podcast, Roberts said that during his time as head booker of Georgia Championship Wrestling, he lobbied for the promotion to sign The Dragon.

When asked if Steamboat could have been a heel, Jake was confident that the beloved legend could pull it off. He said,

“Yes! Because he’s such a student of the game. If Ricky put his mind to something, he’s gonna get it done, man. I think he would have been a phenomenal heel.”
