Jake Roberts Shares His Thoughts on Vince McMahon: ‘Very Disgusting & Partially Insane’

Last month, Vince McMahon resigned from his position at TKO Group after a lawsuit from former WWE employee Janel Grant accused him of sex trafficking, sexual assault, and more. WWE and John Laurinaitis are also named as defendants in the lawsuit.

On a recent edition of his “The Snake Pit” podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Jake Roberts shared his opinion on the scandal.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

On the Vince McMahon allegations: “I did read it. And it was very disgusting, but it doesn’t surprise me. And that bothers me. For me to be able to say, ‘That doesn’t surprise me.’ It leaves me thinking, ‘Man, this is pretty disgusting s**t you’re looking at here,’ and it doesn’t even — you know, it doesn’t surprise me. You know, I believe the man is obviously partially insane. He’s drunk with power. He has been for a long time. And remember when you were doing the ‘Kiss Your A*s thing, you know? That was pretty shi*ty. To see and read that, and not be surprised by it makes me shake my head, man. Just so disgusting. And Christ, man. I just don’t get it.”

On the accusations: “It’s very unnerving, man. It just makes you sad, to think that there are people out there like that. You know? Here’s this girl, who was struggling just to make ends meet and just lost her parents in the worst place possible. And she’s played, you know?”

On not enjoying his time in Mid-Atlantic Wrestling: “No, it wasn’t [great]. It wasn’t for me, anyway. I just never got off the ground. And I was there for probably over a year. And just, a hard grind. Never having the door open for me, never having the opportunity to do anything different or exciting. Never having an angle shot on television. They shot a little bit, they started one with Ole and me and Piper. But they never followed it up. It was never a match. There was never bringing us together. So what was that for? So, unfulfilled dreams and promises.”

Last month, Vince McMahon, the former chairman and CEO of TKO Group, resigned from his position after facing serious allegations in a lawsuit filed by former WWE employee Janel Grant. The lawsuit accuses McMahon of sex trafficking, sexual assault, and other heinous acts. WWE and John Laurinaitis are also named as defendants in the lawsuit.

The scandal surrounding Vince McMahon has garnered significant attention and has sparked discussions within the wrestling community. Recently, WWE Hall of Famer Jake Roberts shared his opinion on the matter during an episode of his podcast, “The Snake Pit.”

When asked about the allegations against Vince McMahon, Roberts expressed his disgust but admitted that he wasn’t entirely surprised. He stated, “I did read it. And it was very disgusting, but it doesn’t surprise me. And that bothers me.” Roberts believes that McMahon’s behavior is a result of being drunk with power and partially insane. He also referenced past controversial moments in WWE history, such as the “Kiss Your A*s” segment, which further solidified his negative perception of McMahon.

Roberts also expressed his sadness and disbelief regarding the accusations made against McMahon. He empathized with Janel Grant, who was allegedly taken advantage of while struggling to make ends meet and dealing with the loss of her parents. The situation highlights the existence of individuals who prey on vulnerable individuals for their own gain.

In addition to discussing the Vince McMahon scandal, Roberts also touched upon his own experiences in the wrestling industry. He revealed that his time in Mid-Atlantic Wrestling was not enjoyable, citing unfulfilled dreams and broken promises. Despite being there for over a year, Roberts felt that he never had the opportunity to showcase his talent or participate in exciting storylines.

The podcast episode featuring Jake Roberts’ thoughts on the Vince McMahon scandal provides a glimpse into the wrestling community’s reaction to the allegations. It highlights the disappointment and disgust felt by many individuals who have followed McMahon’s career and the industry as a whole.
