During a recent episode of his podcast “The Snake Pit”, WWE Hall of Famer, Jake Roberts recounts his time working under Bill Watts at Mid-South Wrestling. Below are some outstanding moments from his podcast.

Discussing his departure from Stampede Wrestling, Roberts said, “It just felt like time had come for me to move on. I was homesick. I hadn’t seen my family for over a year.”

When questioned about his reasoning for choosing to work for Bill Watts in Mid-South Wrestling, Roberts explained, “It was all about familiarity. My father used to work there and I knew I had a lot to learn. I was eager to learn and continue my growth. I realized that I’d get that opportunity at Mid-South. So, I reached out, got permission and made my move. On reaching there, I informed them about JYD, who had pulled his act together and was a talent they would be interested in. It wasn’t long before JYD joined us.”

Reflecting on his decision to switch to the promotion, Jake revealed, “Moving to Louisiana was an enormous step for me. However, my stint there was brief as I broke my arm shortly upon arriving.”
