You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

On working with Ron Simmons: “It was a good time. Oh, yeah. I used to drive him nuts, man. We’d go someplace in Florida, and I’d be doing the tomahawk chop, you know. And that’s a heat getter there, brother. Because not all Florida likes tomahawk. I remember specifically do it to him in Jacksonville which is a big, big University of Florida town. And I started doing the tomahawk chop and he’s like, ‘Man, cut that s**t out, they’ll get pissed off!’ It’s snug [working in the ring]. It wasn’t over the top or something. It was solid, it was good. I had no problem at all working with Ron. I loved it.”

On his first experience with Andre The Giant: “They gave me the job of driving him around. And they gave me a van to drive that had a big bean bag chair in the back of it. That’s where Andre’d sit. So after the show, I said, ‘You need anything?’ ‘Beer!’ Okay. So I went to a convenience store, and I said ‘What do you want?’ He goes, ‘Two cases.’ I said, ‘Wait a minute, Andre. It’s only 90 miles to the hotel.’ ‘Two cases!’ ‘Okay.’ So I got him two cases, I got myself a six-pack. I started driving, well after a couple of beers, I had to pi*s, man… but what really pis*ed me off was I had to clean out the van, and every damn beer was done. He drank 48 beers in eight miles. But that’s not what really pi*sed me off. What pissed me off, was he never got out to pi*s.”

In a recent episode of his podcast “The Snake Pit,” WWE Hall of Famer Jake Roberts shared some interesting stories about his experiences working with fellow wrestlers Ron Simmons and Andre The Giant. Let’s dive into the highlights from the podcast.

Roberts fondly reminisced about working with Ron Simmons, describing it as a good time. He revealed that he used to tease Simmons by doing the tomahawk chop, a gesture associated with Native American culture. However, this didn’t sit well with the audience in certain areas of Florida, such as Jacksonville, which is a stronghold for the University of Florida. Despite the potential for backlash, Roberts enjoyed working with Simmons and appreciated his solid and snug style in the ring.

One of the most intriguing stories Roberts shared was about his first experience driving Andre The Giant around. Roberts was assigned the task of chauffeuring the legendary wrestler and was given a van with a large bean bag chair in the back for Andre’s comfort. After a show, Roberts asked Andre if he needed anything, to which Andre replied, “Beer!” Roberts obliged and went to a convenience store, where Andre requested two cases of beer. Roberts also grabbed himself a six-pack for the journey.

As they began driving, Roberts soon found himself needing to use the restroom after a couple of beers. However, what truly annoyed him was that Andre never got out of the van to relieve himself. To make matters worse, when Roberts finally stopped the van, he discovered that Andre had consumed all 48 beers within just eight miles. It was an astonishing feat, but also a frustrating one for Roberts, who had to clean up the aftermath.
