Jake Roberts, renowned WWE Hall of Famer, recently disclosed in an interview with ‘Rewind Recap Live’ that his initial plan was to only appear for a length of six weeks on AEW.

In 2019, Jake Roberts was a notable presence in The Road to All Out, assuming the role of a dealer at a blackjack table. His task was to hand out cards to those competing in the Women’s Casino Battle Royale. This action served as a nod to his famed “You Wanna Play 21?” promo from the year 1999.

To his surprise, AEW approached him with a contract just four weeks in. In his own words, Roberts explained, “We made a deal for me to be there for six weeks, and at the end of four weeks, they gave me some papers saying I was going to be there for a year. Then, when the year contract was up, they provided me with another contract for two years, and I just received one more contract for an additional year. So, yes, I’m still there.”

Jake Roberts remains under contract with AEW to this day.
