Professional wrestler Jake Hager disclosed in a recent episode of the “Stories with Bradshaw and Brisco” podcast that his contract with AEW concluded in June. Despite this, Hager is exploring ways to continue his on-screen presence. Hager attracted media attention a week ago when he labeled Tony Khan, the AEW President, a “communist” and accused him of threatening his job owing to his political beliefs.
In an interesting revelation, Hager commented, “It’s intriguing. I’m waiting with bated breath to see how this turns out. After my contract with AEW wound up in June, I left them. Currently, I am competing in independent leagues. Being 42, I believe it’s time for me, well, I’m not sure, but I’m keen to spend more time with my children at home. I’m evaluating more business avenues, such as construction and property rentals. I’d relish the chance to sit and chat with you, John, about commentary and perhaps keep my camera appearance going that way. In essence, I’m doing everything within my power. I’ve had an incredible career. I consider myself privileged to have had this career. The stress is off now. I’m simply trying to be a commendable father and a positive role model for my children.”
On a unique note, in a recent episode of “AEW Meal and a Match,” wrestler Darby Allin gave an intriguing reason for his choice not to own a couch in his house. According to Allin, couches promote indolence. In Allin’s own words, “I reckon they foster laziness and you’ve to always keep moving. For instance, I considered purchasing a concrete couch.”
