WWE talent Jaida Parker recently appeared as a guest in the show “WWE Die Woche”, where she shared stories about her wrestling career, specifically about her recruitment by WWE and her challenges adjusting to the rigorous training.
Here are some key points from the interview:
Regarding her first contact with WWE: “[WWE] sent me a message on Instagram. At first, I wasn’t sure if it was true or not. But when I confirmed it was real– It was quite the change from my soccer career. Considering all the years I dedicated to soccer, I thought, why not give this a shot?”
About her training transition: “I had to acclimate to the frequent bumps during training. My body was not accustomed to it. I had to completely modify my workout routines because typical soccer workouts won’t work for wrestling. I had to build my body in a specific way for protection… and that resulted in a mental struggle.”
On a separate note, Bully Ray got candid on the “Busted Open Radio” podcast about an incident when Shawn Stasiak landed in hot waters with Steve Blackman, Davey Boy Smith, and Ron Simmons for recording their private conversations for promotional material.
The conversation and the fallout from Stasiak’s actions were discussed in the podcast.
Simmons criticising Stasiak: “Ron Simmons reprimanded Stasiak in a way I have never seen before in the wrestling world. Simply put, Ron was like, ‘What were you possibly thinking? Why on earth would you do such a thing? Don’t ever repeat this.’”
Blackman and Smith making Stasiak finish his trip on foot: “This is what happens if you cross a line in the wrestling world. It’s a learning experience, sometimes, in our business.”
