Major League Wrestling will be keeping their World Champion around for quite some time as it was revealed today that Jacob Fatu has re-signed with the company.
ESPN’s Marc Raimondi is reporting that Fatu has signed a deal that keeps him under the MLW banner into late 2025. Fatu has been MLW World Champion since July 6, 2019 and has been on an absolute tear in the company as the main force in the heel faction CONTRA. Fatu defeated Tom Lawlor to begin his reign and than ran through the likes of Ross Von Erich, LA Park, Brian Pillman Jr., CIMA and other named talent as he’s had a stronghold at the top of the card since debuting with the company.
Raimondi also makes note that Fatu’s deal is exclusive to MLW, so him showing up in WWE or AEW during his extended tenure will not be in the cards.
It was reported earlier in the year that both members of The Dynasty in Alexander Hammerstone and Richard Holliday have both signed long-term deals and according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Myron Reed and Salina de la Renta have also signed long-term contracts with MLW.
