Shortly after making known that Jade Cargill will be confronting Naomi in WWE WrestleMania 41, and revealing that Kevin Owens has been yanked from the card, ruling out his match with Randy Orton, the future of the United States Championship was also decoded.
In the recent episode of Friday Night SmackDown, an ultimate showdown took place. Jacob Fatu outperformed Braun Strowman in a Last Man Standing match, which also doubled as a duel to determine who would contend with LA Knight in the extravaganza of WrestleMania.
The clash was a tough one, with The Samoan Werewolf following through on his commitment from the previous week to emerge the winner, though this was by a wafer-thin margin.
In a tweet by WWE, it was affirmed: “Jacob Fatu is the last man standing and will challenge @RealLAKnight at #WrestleMania! #SmackDown.”
The commentariat during the match, with Joe Tessitore leading, mentioned that this was the inaugural defeat for The Monster of All Monsters in a Last Man Standing contest. However, this information is somewhat inaccurate. Strowman, in reality, has participated in 15 separate Last Man Standing matches, losing the vast majority. Still, every single scooped victory in his televised matches makes this claim technically true.
As much as this might have ended Braun Strowman’s stint, there seems to be no development from Solo Sikoa’s corner, an indication that his chances of appearing at WrestleMania are dwindling.
Below are some of the matchups you can look forward to in the upcoming WrestleMania 41:
-AJ Styles taking on Logan Paul
-Jade Cargill going toe-to-toe with Naomi
-The United States Championship Match: LA Knight (defending champion) contesting Jacob Fatu
-The Triple Threat Match: CM Punk in a battle with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins
-A World Heavyweight Championship duel between Gunther (defending champion) and Jey Uso
-WWE Women’s Championship showdown: Tiffany Stratton (defending champion) vs. Charlotte Flair
-Women’s World Championship bout: Iyo Sky (defending champion) clashing with Bianca Belair
-Undisputed WWE Championship Match: Cody Rhodes (defending champion) wrestling with John Cena
