In a recent episode of his podcast, “1 Of A Kind”, WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam complimented former MLW wrestler Jacob Fatu, who has recently been contracted by WWE but is yet to make an appearance. RVD was particularly impressed when they met at Pacific Coast Wrestling in LA, noting Fatu’s skills despite his size and particularly admiring his double-jump springboard moonsault. He recognized that Fatu brings much more to his performance than just flashy moves and lauded him as a gifted wrestler with considerable experience.

Fatu was found backstage at the previous month’s WrestleMania 40, yet there is no clear indication as to when he will officially make his WWE debut.

Zilla Fatu, the progeny of former wrestler Umaga and a new recruit to The Bloodline wrestling business, is also learning the ropes and could potentially be seen in the WWE in the future.

In a conversation with Joey Franchize, Zilla Fatu delved into his wrestling education, acknowledging the influence and teachings of Shelton Benjamin, Carlito, and Dominik Mysterio. He especially credited Benjamin with guiding him through the psychological aspects of wrestling, emphasizing the importance of storytelling in conjunction with physical execution. Carlito too, was mentioned as a primary mentor and Dominik was hailed as a valuable mentor, despite being his sibling. Zilla ended on an appreciative note, thanking Charlie Haas, Shelton, and Dominik, and recognizing that his cousins, The Bloodline, also offered invaluable insights.
