WWE enthusiasts were taken aback as IYO SKY clinched victory in last night’s RAW.
IYO SKY emerged victorious against Rhea Ripley, bagging the WWE Women’s Global Championship in the run-up to WrestleMania.
Consequently, SKY embarked on her maiden journey as Women’s World Title holder, earning recognition as the maiden achiever of a Grand Slam in two significant promotions — WWE and STARDOM.
SKY seized every championship title in STARDOM, thereby becoming the promotion’s debut Grand Slam Champion.
After last night’s triumph, SKY is now in possession of the WWE Grand Slam Champion title. She marks the seventh woman to accomplish this in WWE history.
Noteworthy predecessors include renowned figures such as Charlotte Flair, Mercedes Mone (Sasha Banks), Becky Lynch, Bayley, Ripley, and Asuka.
To be declared a WWE Grand Slam Champion, a female Superstar requires victories in the RAW/Women’s Championship, the SmackDown/Women’s World Championship, the NXT Women’s Championship, and the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.
At WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas, SKY will put her Women’s World Championship title on the line against Bianca Belair.
