UPDATE: When asked by WrestleZone if she would like to make any other statement about her status, Ivelisse referenced the original tweet and said, “No. I spoke up about mistreatment and was let go.”

Ivelisse says history has repeated itself again.

According to new remarks made on her Twitter account, Ivelisse has been “let go” after speaking up against mistreatment. The former Lucha Underground star didn’t go into further detail, simply posting the following statement:

History repeats itself unfortunately. I speak up about mistreatment and get let go. Thats life.

Ivelisse had been appearing regularly on All Elite Wrestling programming over the past year, with her last appearance coming on the March 2 episode of AEW Dark, a loss to Red Velvet and KiLynn King. Since then, her regular tag team partner, Diamante, has worked singles matches on AEW Dark and AEW Dark: Elevation.

Last year, she told Pro Wrestling Junkies that she had signed with AEW, but a recent report by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter said that she had been working for AEW on a per-event deal, not a full-time contract. The latter also stated on April 5 that there was an issue with her and a few coaches and that she wasn’t being booked at that point.

A separate report by Fightful Select explained that Ivelisse hasn’t been at recent AEW tapings and talent didn’t expect her to return due “well-known disagreements” with agents backstage, which might explain her reference to speaking up for herself.
