In a recent episode of the “Insight” podcast, Ivar opened up about The War Raiders’ memorable feuds with The Street Profits on WWE television. Here are some of the main takeaways from his interview:
Regarding their rivalry with The Street Profits, Ivar observed, “I felt like originally, that whole feud, it wasn’t for us. It was for The Street Profits, because that’s their specialty, or at least at the time it was. They’re the amusing, comedic tag team. So it felt like everything was designed for them, which is absolutely okay. It is what it is. We endeavored to perform the best we could in that designated role, and I believe we did.”
Reflecting on their performance in the rivalry, Ivar added, “I can rewatch it, recall the memories of it, or hear it from the fans. It’s surprising because I’ve seen numerous online critics ridicule that aspect, but never one in person. I was genuinely proud of the humorous, fun segments that we participated in.”
An embedded YouTube video was also included in the interview where Ivar talks about his return to wrestling following a potentially career-ending injury, becoming temporarily paralyzed in a match, and the reinvention of the War Raiders.
