Professional wrestler Megan Bayne wrapped up her stint with STARDOM on January 21, a move that has elicited conjecture about her potentially joining AEW.

Currently, there’s no official verification of Bayne’s AEW status. However, strong indications suggest that AEW might have blocked her participation in a tour with Marigold.

Bayne has previously made appearances as an independent talent on AEW presentations like Dark, Dark: Elevation, and Rampage. Despite these appearances, it is generally assumed that she hasn’t officially signed an agreement with AEW, and she is speculated to be in discussions with Tony Khan’s organization after becoming a free agent.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has released information that Marigold was expecting Bayne’s involvement in their ongoing tour. After leaving STARDOM, verbal affirmations were made by Bayne to join Marigold, and she expressed interest in bringing Rebecca Scott with her.

Rossy Ogawa, who initiated Marigold, approved the proposal from Bayne, and initial arrangements were made to include five international female wrestlers in their tour and visas for both Bayne and Scott were being processed.

Nevertheless, Marigold was notified by Bayne about a contract predicament with AEW, giving rise to complications. The presumption is that AEW would not be in favor of one of their wrestlers working with Marigold.

Despite the unfolding events, Marigold’s queries were met with silence, leading them to believe that neither Bayne nor Scott would be participating in the tour.

The final judgment on whether or not Bayne would be a part of AEW remains in the air, with no concrete decisions made yet.

Regardless of her non-involvement with AEW, Bayne has continued her professional streak by performing for other promotions like GCW and Limitless Wrestling.
