In one of the recent episodes of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Thunder Rosa, a professional wrestler from All Elite Wrestling (AEW), shared her insights on the recent journey of Triple H and Nick Khan to London. Their visit to meet the city’s Mayor, with an aim to discuss the feasibility of organizing WrestleMania in London, evoked a response from Rosa. She found the timing of this development rather intriguing.
Here are few key highlights from the discussion during the podcast:
When asked about WWE considering London as a potential venue for WrestleMania ahead of All In 2024, Rosa had this to say: “The syncing of these events is indeed intriguing. This feels like the beginning of a head-on competition. Business-wise, they are pulling all stops to become an unbreachable entity while simultaneously taking aim at a market which AEW is also looking to penetrate. This essentially is a textbook example of capitalism.”
Speaking on who stands to gain from this competition, Rosa stated: “Economic gains are abundant everywhere and do you know who the real victors are in this situation? The fans. They are the ones who stand to gain from these potential profits. Ultimately, it all boils down to money.”
