Professional wrestling commentator Jim Ross expressed his thoughts about the Becky Lynch case in his recent podcast, “Grilling JR”. He signified that although Lynch joining AEW would be monumental, it would be astonishing for WWE to allow such a top-tier talent slip out of their hands.
Lynch’s WWE contract expired on the first of June, and she is currently in the free agency, stirring up a buzz about her future moves.
In his “Grilling JR” podcast, Ross communicated his conviction that Lynch and WWE will eventually strike a fresh deal. His words were,
“I would be very shocked if the WWE let her slip away. That doesn’t feel right to me. They have a hefty investment in her; they turned her into a star. She’s a celebrated, headliner-level talent; she’s shattered many stereotypes. I am a staunch Becky Lynch supporter, and no matter where her career takes her, I’m rooting for her.”
Ross didn’t hold back his thoughts on the possibility of Lynch joining the ranks of AEW’s female division. He expressed,
“Obviously, everyone would concur that if AEW managed to contract a talent of her caliber, it’s going to be a game-changer. She’s a top-level contender and a superb human being. She truly exemplifies my philosophy of appointing decent human beings. She’s stellar.”
As of now, Lynch herself has kept her plans for her wrestling career under wraps, placing more emphasis on her family consisting of her daughter Roux and husband Seth Rollins.
