We have a new North American Champion in Isaiah “Swerve” Scott.
Scott sure swerved Bronson Reed tonight by challenging him to an unexpected North American Title match on this week’s episode of NXT, and his gamble paid off. The bout was rightfully the main event for the evening, and a bit of chicanery allowed Hit Row to walk away with some NXT gold.
Scott tried to out-power Bronson, but that was a fool’s errand. Reed rocked the Hit Row leader with an immense shoulder tackle early and then gorilla pressed him down to the canvas.
Reed remained dominant for quite a while, but Scott found his window of offense to take Reed of his feet. Still, Reed fired back with a massive lariat and a leaping Death Valley Driver. That being said, matters got murky for Reed when Top Dolla and Ashante “Thee” Adonis began to meddle.

Reed removeed them from the equation quite literally, but Swerve soared off the top to hit Bronson with a 450 splash for the pinfall win. The show closed out with Hit Row celebrating at the top of the stage.
