Tony Chimel, a former announcer for WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment), recently expressed his discontentment over the fact that the organisation still uses his voice in shows, despite his departure from the company years ago.

Chimel served at WWE as an announcer for many years prior to leaving the company in 2020. During his tenure there, he notably served as an announcer for SmackDown and the WWE version of ECW (Extreme Championship Wrestling).

He took to social media to air his grievances about WWE’s continued use of his voice in their past footage, hinting at displeasure over the situation. Chimel used the opportunity to also promote his Cameo service.

A quote from his tweet reads, “I find it odd that I was let go by @WWE years ago , yet they still use my voice at shows. Maybe order a Chimeo if you want a live version.” – Tony Chimel (@TheTonyChimel) July 1, 2024.

Chimel’s much-remembered stint in the WWE spotlight came during a 1999 episode of SmackDown, where he triumphed over Howard Finkel in a memorable Tuxedo Match.
