Tony Khan, the president of AEW, has expressed an interest in annually conducting AEW/ROH events in the renowned Hammerstein Ballroom.

In the media interaction at the culmination of AEW Worlds End 2024, Khan articulated his enthusiasm for hosting additional events at the iconic location. “I really cherished our time at the Hammerstein Ballroom. It was an exceptional weekend for AEW. We had impressive shows, including the festive Dynamite and prior to that, a Christmas Collision. It was truly a splendid holiday period,” he stated.

Khan further added, “I am entirely open to the prospect of returning, and I believe that every opportunity to do so would substantially benefit AEW. The response was overwhelmingly favorable, and AEW Collision was massively popular, securing one of the highest ratings in the program’s history – the highest in the last year and a half. Amongst a plethora of eminent opponents, it offered us a lucrative opportunity.”

The media session after the AEW Worlds End 2024 also included a query about AEW’s yearly December pay-per-view event hosted at the Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Florida. This happened to coincide with WWE’s Holiday Tour event at the nearby Kia Center.

Khan commented, “The simultaneous occurrence of two major pro wrestling events was beneficial for Orlando. Each event was attended by several thousand fans. We enjoyed being at UCF and hosting a full-house here. The arena was an exceptional host, and incredible support from fans made it a thrilling experience. Pro wrestling’s strength, more so in the U.S., is evident from the considerable crowds drawn by two competing promotions in a single American city on the same night. The Orlando spectators were incredible, and they made tonight’s show outstanding. We’re grateful for their support.”
