Reports earlier on eWrestlingNews (eWn) indicated that Becky Lynch ignited discussions amongst her fans with an Instagram post on Sunday night. This happened after her special episode of ‘Biography: WWE Legends’ was broadcasted.
In her Instagram post, Lynch expressed her gratitude towards her fans, penning, “It’s been a helluva career. Being the Man for all of you was an honor, being the mom for her is a privilege. Thanks for watching my bio on @AETV.”
This resulted in a lot of speculation amongst her fans, with many interpreting the phrase “it’s been a helluva career” as a hint towards her retirement. However, according to exclusive reports from Fightful Select, if Lynch has decided to retire, WWE officials and top brass have not been informed yet. The same sources express disbelief that Lynch would announce her retirement through an Instagram post, if indeed, she has decided to retire.
Interestingly, Lynch is not currently contracted with WWE. Due to this, she is not required to inform the company about her retirement, if that’s what she has chosen.
The latest updates also mention that Lynch is currently taking a break and enjoying her free time. WWE sources have expressed their intention to respect her privacy during this period while confirming that Lynch would be warmly welcomed back to WWE, should she choose to make a comeback.
