During the latest WWE SmackDown episode, Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns had a significant face-to-face interaction at Georgia Tech’s stadium. Even though they still possess hostile feelings towards each other, they seem to have put them aside to take on The Bloodline together. But, this short-term coalition feels more superficial than anything else.

Regarding my viewpoint…
It’s not up to me to prevent WWE from cashing in on this opportunity. Although I’m the one who proposes this question, it may seem strange for me to say, “It’s irrelevant what my take is because the match is inevitably going to happen,” but that pretty much sums up the situation. So, in some way, we’re destined to witness this match again.
However, right off the bat, I don’t believe this match-up should happen, at least not anytime soon except plans are underway to conclude with a No Contest. To execute this, perhaps The Bloodline might meddle leading to double disqualification. If that’s the case, arrange it for Crown Jewel.
Indeed, my perspective is based on not desiring that The Rock defeats Cody for the title. I’d rather see Cody defend his title at WrestleMania against Randy Orton while The Rock and Roman vie for The Bloodline’s leadership in a Tribal Combat contest.
Therefore, I would propose a kind of draw, leaving it undecided with each having a win, loss, and draw. This ensures that neither of them is marginalized. It’s more precarious for Cody than Roman, but neither should be relegated. My preference would be to see Roman pursue Gunther and the World Heavyweight Championship as his next conquest.
However, if a match with a conclusive victory is essential, it should only take place once this narrative fully unravels. Perhaps Rhodes might take a villainous turn, allowing Roman to emerge victoriously playing the hero, as he is yet to take on Rhodes as a babyface. It’s not an idea I’m fond of but it’s more preferable than an immediate rematch where Cody trumps Roman or vice versa.
