Io Shirai Gets Blindsided By The Way; Zoey Stark Comes To Her Aid

Io Shirai is back in the black and gold fold, but her welcome wasn’t exactly warm thanks to The Way.
Io Shirai came out on Wednesday’s NXT to announce that she’s back and she feels good. Just as about as she’s set to announce her next target, out comes Candice LeRae. She says it’s back to the bottom for Shirai. Something that hasn’t changed is LeRae still can’t stand her. She said Io picked the wrong time to screw with her and she apparently did as Indi Hartwell attacked the former NXT Women’s Champion from behind. Shirai does fight back, but the numbers game comes into play. Soon enough, Zoey Stark comes out and levels the playing field.
