Internally Planned Main Event For WrestleMania 40 Revealed

Speaking on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed WWE’s plans for Roman Reigns and the Undisputed Championship at WrestleMania 40. Reigns was pinned for the first time in almost four years at Money in the Bank 2023, when Jey Uso pinned him in the ‘Bloodline Civil War’ tag team match.

Despite his loss, Reigns is expected to walk into Philadelphia, PA next year as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, and Cody Rhodes is internally slated to challenge him for the title in a rematch from WrestleMania 39.

Of course, a lot can change with nine months yet to go before WrestleMania 40.
