On the most recent episode of TNA Impact on AXS TV, Jeff Hardy sustained injuries during a match against The System for the TNA World Tag Team Championships. Post-match, Hardy was taken out of the arena in a stretcher following an altercation during which a chair was wrapped around his head before he was thrown into the ring post. Hardy’s injuries can be attributed to an action from The Hardys’ opponents, JDC, who pushed him off the top rope.
The incident has compelled showrunners to write Hardy off from the show for some time. This is likely connected to Hardy’s previous legal issues, which have been proven problematic in his travels to Canada.
This Saturday’s TNA Slammiversary 2024 pay-per-view event has announced its comprehensive lineup, featuring matches for various championships. Notable matchups include the TNA World Championship elimination competition featuring seasoned wrestlers Moose, Nic Nemeth, Steve Maclin, Josh Alexander, Joe Hendry, and Frankie Kazarian. Jordynne Grace and Ash By Elegance will go head-to-head in the TNA Knockouts Championship.
In light of the recent incident, PCO has shared his possibility of involvement in the ongoing collaboration between WWE NXT and TNA Wrestling. In an interview with the “Straight Talk Wrestling” podcast, PCO stated he has a strong gut feeling that he might make an appearance in WWE NXT, suggesting the excitement it might generate among the audience. Although he couldn’t confirm the specifics, PCO asserts that his previous decision to stay on with TNA instead of moving to WWE NXT was influenced by Scott D’Amore, who encouraged him about potential plans for Montreal which, however, did not materialise.
