A recent article offers new information about Major League Wrestling’s (MLW) prospects for organizing events in Canada. The report follows up on last week’s speculation that the company might potentially host an event in Toronto, Ontario. According to Pwinsider, MLW is now planning to carry out location inspections in both Toronto and Alberta later this month. However, the Alberta cities that are being considered for these events remain unknown at this time.
It seems the company is conceptualizing a plan around orchestrating a homecoming event for Davey Boy Smith Jr. in the future. This follows the resounding success and positive feedback received from the recent Azteca Lucha event held in Chicago, which reportedly boosted the morale of the MLW locker room into high gears.
The event turned out to be a huge hit for MLW, setting a new record for the amount of merchandise sales the company has ever netted, with almost everything sold by 9:00 PM.
In addition to this, MLW has unveiled a short documentary showcasing the triumphant return of Satoshi Kojima to the company after more than two decades away. Kojima’s spectacular comeback saw him clenching the MLW World Heavyweight Championship, a title he previously held 20 years ago.
