Insider Insights on WWE RAW: Asuka’s Injury and King & Queen Of the Ring Plans

Fightful Select has shared additional backstage notes from last night’s edition of WWE RAW, which kicked off the 2024 King of the Ring and Queen of the Ring tournaments.

According to the report, the participants for at least one of the matches scheduled for RAW last night were moved off the show and were said to have found out yesterday.

WWE’s decision not to move some of the scheduled matchups to next week’s or a different show was due to insufficient time between now and the May 25th King & Queen of the Ring pay-per-view event.

As a result, four of the eight planned opening-round matches for both tournaments were reportedly adjusted or moved to another night. In addition, Drew McIntyre was unable to participate in his matchup due to being medically unfit.

Furthermore, several other main roster call-ups from NXT for the WWE Draft were reportedly brought to RAW last night, although they were not utilized on TV.

During RAW, Dakota Kai announced that she would replace Asuka in the tournament due to the latter’s injury. Asuka is legitimately injured, and she was reportedly present at the show last night.

Lastly, B-Fab has reportedly been training in MMA with Bobby Lashley. B-Fab had previously trained at the Fight Ready Complex between 2018-2019.
