The highly anticipated AEW Worlds End 2024 pay-per-view event held at Orlando’s Addition Financial Arena took center stage with the return of Kenny Omega and Adam Copeland.
The highlight of the event was a pulse-pounding Fatal 4-Way match for the coveted AEW World Heavyweight Championship. The battle involved Jon Moxley, Orange Cassidy, Jay White, and Hangman Page.
The match’s climax had Yuta administering his signature move on White, leading the way for Moxley’s game-changing Death Rider DDT that earned him the win. After the final ring of the bell, FTR and the newly returned Copeland stepped in to put a halt to a potential post-match assault.
Worrying moments ensued during the match as Moxley suffered a gash on the back of his head, leading to heavy bleeding.
Renowned wrestling commentator, Dave Meltzer of F4Wonline.com, assured fans post-show, saying, “Jon Moxley was said to be ok after the show.”
In a follow-up announcement, AEW stated that FTR and Copeland will square off against Yuta, Moxley, and PAC in a thrilling Six-Man Tag Team match on the forthcoming episode of AEW Dynamite airing on Wednesday.
