Injury Update On Abadon, Joey Janela Denies Contacting COVID-19
Injury Update On Abadon
As we reported yesterday, AEW Superstar Abadon suffered a serious injury during the tapings for this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. It was unknown at the time what the injury was and the only thing that was known was that a hospitalization was required.
According to a new report from The Wrestling Observer, Abadon took a stiff elbow strike to the throat and was unable to breathe for an extended period of time afterwards. The match was immediately halted so that she could receive quick medical care from a local facility. It is also reported that there is a good possibility that the match will not even air on TV due to the injury and the fact that there was no winner.
Abadon is indeed doing better now and expected to make a full recovery.

Joey Janela Denies Contacting COVID-19
Joey Janela was pulled from AEW Dynamite last week due to being closely exposed to someone who contacted COVID-19. Originally set to wrestle Kenny Omega, Janela was forced to stay home and watch his partner Sonny Kiss get dismantled.
There was speculation that Janela possibly contacted COVID-19 himself but Janela shut those rumors down on Twitter. Janela said, “I don’t have Covid never did, I’m sure it tried to live rent free in me a few times and dipped out because my insides resemble a permanent crack den at the Red Roof Inn.”
